Opening hours: The tour is only available during the operating hours of the Dachstein Glacier Cable Car.

The Small Mitterstein Tour is perfect for kicking off the ski touring season in the fall. Starting at the Dachstein mountain station, the two-kilometer-long, groomed trail passes by the Ramsau cross-country ski trail and offers impressive views before ending back at the Dachstein mountain station.

Route description

The Small Mitterstein Tour is a two-kilometer-long, groomed, and well-marked ski tour that starts at the Dachstein mountain station. It first heads downhill to the old mountain station of the Mitterstein chairlift, where you’ll put your climbing skins on your touring skis.

Surrounded by high-alpine scenery, the route follows the Ramsau cross-country trail, offering views of the Rosmarie Tunnel, back to the Dachstein mountain station, where the tour ends. The tour is suitable for both beginners and experienced ski tourers.

TIP: Over 30 piste tour routes with the Ski amadé ALL-IN Card White
Ascent along the designated ascent routes is permitted only during piste opening hours and
with a ski pass valid on the day of use. In addition to the regular ski passes,
special ski touring infrastructure cards can be purchased in the online shop. This card includes
services such as use of the car park and toilet facilities at the mountain and valley stations.
The card must be carried during the ascent and shown to cable car staff during checks.
