Ideal for the start of the season or for leisure skiers:
From October, you can set out on this easy ski tour from the Dachstein Glacier mountain station. The well-groomed and marked ski path leads you towards Seethalerhütte and back again, while always offering breathtaking views of the Dachstein panorama.

Route description
The Dirndl Tour starts at the Dachstein mountain station. From there, the well-signposted and marked ski tour first leads downhill. Important: At the start, do not put on your climbing skins yet, as the first elevation metres are downhill. After the short descent, the relaxed climb begins. Now it's time to put on the skins and follow the wide, secured ascent track. The route leads around the Dirndl towards Seethalerhütte.
Shortly before Seethalerhütte, you reach a junction where you turn left towards the hut. Seethalerhütte is open for service - please note the opening hours. If you would like to take a summit photo at the end of the tour, you have the opportunity to do so: a summit cross stands directly next to Seethalerhütte. On the Dirndl Tour, you climb 190 vertical metres over a distance of 2 kilometres each way. Please take the altitude on the glacier into account - on this ski tour you are at 2,700 m above sea level.
The return route follows the same path. However, on this section you share the track with winter hikers, which requires a little more caution. The final metres of elevation lead uphill again to the Dachstein mountain station, where the tour ends.
