The kid's cross country ski park offers this variety. There is a large snow hill for ascents and downhills, even through gates and over jumps and other obstacles. Ball games, relays or running games can be played on this ski-playground.
Our restaurant Tennestadl, which opened in 2016 and has 96 seats inside and 60 seats on the west-facing terrace, is located directly in the Hohenhaus Tenne, yet shielded from the hype. With the right technique makes especially the sophisticated skiing more fun! As a certified ski instructor and longtime trainer these conditions are given on my part. The trainings are carried out in private groups. Optimal training ground and training times increase the success. Permanent video and motion analysis bring a noticeable increase in performance and driving pleasure. The systematic Fumble on the own limit is every time again a surprise!
A network of trails, over 40 kms, in the Gröbming region, with a fairytale loipe on the Mitterberg and free access. Every Thursday afternoon a Wellness trainer shows you "Vitality through the winter" and gives valuable tips on nutrition and the right way to exercise. What could be nicer than stopping in a rustic hut after a great day of skiing or a ski tour and being pampered there? The Tiergarten Alm is at 1540 meters and there is not only the most delicious Kaiserschmarren and enjoyment with our specialties, but also the most wonderful panorama and the most magnificent view!
By the way, this is also where it's funniest – whether summer or winter, we regularly organize events on the alpine pastures for lots of fun. Don't you believe us?

During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Tiergartenalm some special highlights.
Enjoyment means something different for everyone. Some love to relax on vacation, to eat well and to unwind. The others relax actively while skiing, biking or hiking. Our pleasure hotel is located in the heart of Altenmarkt, near Zauchensee, and is the ideal starting point for all these activities. With us you can be who you are. The toboggan is one of the oldest pieces of winter sports equipment in the Alps – quite simply, it’s a classic. To this day, it remains a source of infinite enjoyment for young and old alike, with countless natural and man-made runs throughout Salzburg’s many valleys.
Start: Hahnbaumalm Restaurant (altitude approx. 1.100m)
Finish: city center of Sankt Johann (altitude approx. 650m)
Easy access to the start via the Hahnbaum double chair lift. The chair is open until 4pm, later ascents possible by taxi (approx. €35.00 one way for up to 8 pax, tariff will vary according to the meter).

Der Golf- & Landclub Ennstal Weissenbach – gegründet 1977 - ist der 3. älteste Golfclub der Steiermark und erst der 20. in Österreich. Die „Naturerlebnis“ 18 Loch Golfanlage ist die einzige Golfanlage in Europa, die sich in einem Europanaturschutzgebiet „Natura 2000“ befindet! 2014 wurden 5 Bahnen attraktiv und neu umgestaltetet. Das komplett neue Loch 9 gilt jetzt schon als einer der spektakulärsten Par 3 in Österreich. Der GLC Ennstal mit familiärer Atmosphäre gilt mit seinen ebensten Fairways innerhalb der Alpen als Geheimtipp und ist aus allen Richtungen via Autobahn schnell erreichbar.
Snowshoe hike in the direction of Hirschgrubenalm in Hüttschlag.
From the Oberneureit farm in Hüttschlag, snowshoe uphill along the goods road or along a forest path towards the Hirschgrubenalm (not open in winter). The tour ends shortly before the Hirschgrubenalm due to a game reserve. The Hirschgrubenalm is located in a wide basin in a marvellous mountain landscape - back along the same route.
After the tour you can fortify yourself in the Aschaustüberl.
