The Kreberniks have been an integral part of the Austrian snowboard scene since the late 80s, and with the four kids of Lilo Krebernik and Kathi Macheiner, there has been a third generation for a decade now who feel just as comfortable on the snow and shred the home spots around Altenmarkt/Pongau as often as possible!
With their offspring - Hedi (13), Wally (12), Ferry (10) and Stani (6) - new adventures came into their lives as well as topics such as responsibility in social and ecological issues, both in education and snowboarding. All of this gives them a new outlook on the future.
The adults in the Snowboarding Family are keen to teach their children responsibility for the environment in a fun way. Joint mountain clean-up hikes teach the children how to treat nature with respect, separate waste and recycle. Choosing sustainable equipment and snowboarding are also part of their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. Of course, safety is always a top priority, whether on the piste or in the backcountry.

Our top tip in Ski amadé: “As snowboarders (predominantly kids/family), the Absolut Park and the Burton Stash Park (both in Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl) are an absolute must. For natural snow fans we recommend the lifts at Hochkeil (Mühlbach)."
